Thats a shame you had a bad experience there Theo. When I was there yesterday they were watching the range via cctv and the window. If you ever want to go back give me a shout you can go as my guest.

Thanks for the offer. Since we went to RAF (and the bad experience and can't shoot rifles there), I gave my one son a membership to Classic Pistol for Christmas, and myself and my two sons joined Langhorne Rod and Gun Club. Let me know if you want to go to either of those two places.

Strange. That's not at all in keeping with the several years I've belonged there. I've witnessed the removal of knuckleheads more than once.

Langhorne Rod and Gun is a great place. You can shoot anything (except full auto) so it fun to go. I joined in March and have gone several times since. My two sons liked it so much they joined. PM me if you want to go with us and see if you like it.

I was just looking at the RAF site....for the Basic Pistol course...$225? Is that standard cost for this course? Is there somewhere else i can get it cheaper? Things are kinda tight $$$ wise...but would like to get at least a couple classes under my belt...

LRG mentions the class but says you must contact "this guy" to arrange it....doesnt mention cost.

+1 on the positive experience at R-A-F. I was there today, shot 4 different 9's. I'm looking at buying a "plastic" 9 and while reading, browsing forums etc. is useful there's no substitute for running a magazine load thru each weaspon. I tried the Ruger SR9, a Smith M&P, Glock 19 & XD9. I liked the Ruger & XD9 the best. I asked about a S&W Sigma. They don't have that model as a rental--said Sigmas don't hold up. That too is good to know. I didn't get the feeling they were pushing whatever had the best margin, they were recommending what they felt was the best weapon.

Glad to hear the (mostly) positive reviews. Taking a class there this Saturday, and looking forward to joining as a member once I get settled into our new home somewhere in Bucks County.

Anyone know if (1) they sell Glocks, and if they do (2) whether or not they honor the Glock LE/military price? Thanks...
