I have poked around, but haven't seen anything about this... but does RAF require that you purchase their ammo when renting a lane?

AFAIK you only have to buy their ammo if you're shooting their rentals. If you bring your own guns, you're welcome to use your own ammo. It's been a while since I shot there though.

Like said earlier, you only have to purchase their ammo if you are renting their guns. Pretty good guys down there. I bought a Gold membership.
They never bitch when I rent 5 different pistols at time. As long as you clean your lane up when done(common courtesy)(sp)

Went to RAF twice. The first time no problems. The second time there were about twenty 21-23 year olds that were in there renting guns. They had no clues how to shoot the guns or muzzle direction. The kids next to us were turning around towards the shop with loaded guns and as soon as they pointed the muzzle at us, my son (23 years old) and I were out of there. No Supervision from the people in the shop. I will never go back again

I live 10 Minutes from RAf, but drive 30 Minutes to Classic Pistol. No comparison between the two. Classic Pistol is First Class.

Yea Theo I heard they had a problem with idiots at one time. Fortunately I haven't ran into that problem the numerous times I went and hope I never do.

I have never seen anything like that in all the times I was there. I believe that they had an issue some time back, but never when I was there. I miss the place actually ... If I hadn't moved away from the area I would still be shooting there.

Thumbs up Re: Ready Aim Fire, Bristol

I enjoy the staff and range at Ready Aim Fire in Bristol, I live about 3 miles away and usually there 3 times a week. I just purchased my gun from them 2 weeks ago and been there almost everyday; it seems like. I does get pretty pricey when you start adding it up. It's like $88 dollars a day. A box of .45 shells there is $30, it just went up recently because I remember when they were $25 for the longest time. I'm not a fan of classic pistol though.

I was there today talking to the guys about the P229 I'm gonna purchase. I also shot their H&K USP and their CX4. The CX4 is fun.

You are lucky. The staff was more concerned about renting guns than safety. The staff was not paying attention to the people shooting. As I said, never again will i go there.
