You guys gotta be kidding me with this crap. Knock it off.

If you have to bicker with each other, take it to PM, or the thread will be closed and trolling infractions will be issued.

Wow. no one is bickering anymore. You are late to the show.........comment about SGL or do not comment at all.

EDIT: This is directed at other forum members, not mods, just because it was posted after a mod, does not mean It was directed at them. Thank you.

I can't be too late to the show if your last post was only a few minutes ago. And, as a mod, if I have to make an administrative post to keep the thread on-topic and in accordance with site rules, that's what I'll do.

Pretty sure telling a mod to shut up isn't a way to ensure a long lasting presence on this forum... - negative rep sent. Respect the mods

That was not directed at the mod, it is for future posters to this thread. I am talking to the mod right now. Thanks for your concern!

And YOU negative rep me....hahahahahaha

The sad part is I came in here and read through and was going to post my support for ya until I read that.

That is fine, like I said, it was not directed at that mod or any mod doing their job. It was towards people who did not read the entire thread and felt like commenting before they knew the entire story.

Once again, thank you for your concern! I clarified my original post for you.

I've never been to this range before. What kind of target stands do they have? I guess, what is the easiest type of targets to bring out and hang? I need to get 2 new rifle scopes zeroed, is anyone gonna give me a hard time here for occupying a bench for a while? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

I quit going to SGL 43 close to 20 years ago but I'll give it a shot. (no pun intended)

The target stands are a crap shoot, especially this time of year. The backboards could be in good shape or they could be shot to hell, you just never know. I always found it easier to be prepared for anything which means a BIG piece of cardboard in case I need a backer board. In general there would at least be a cross piece to attach the cardboard to.

As far as anybody giving you a hard time for occupying a bench, screw them. It's first come, first served and they can wait their turn if it's that busy. I've had many days where I had to wait, it's just the nature of public ranges. Take what ever time you need.

Obviously weekends are not as good a choice as weekdays.

They set up many wooden 2 by 4's with a hard backdrop strung up between them. They have two set at 50 yards and a lot more set at 100 yards.

No, people won't give you a hard time, it's a public range.

They no longer allow clay shooting anymore.

The backdrops were in good condition two or three weeks ago, but who knows what has happened since, well, it is a public range.
