Default MASA Membership sponsor?

Hi guys,... newbie to this board and pistol shooting...just picked up Sig P6 last week and am trying to find a range to learn to shoot at. I just applied up at Mohnton but its going to be a 2 month wait up there. Beautiful looking facility though. I'm thinking about applying to MASA in the interim but i noticed the application asks for a member reference. Also it asks for your NRA member number and i just joined and havent received it yet. Should i just wait till that comes? Any other thoughts? thanks

Hey,
I joined MASA a few months ago but the reference adn NRA spots are not required. Just go ahead and send in the application.

You will have to wait until they hold one of their orientations before you officially become a member. they usually hold them once a month as long as their is enough interest.

Good luck,
Steve

Im a member there too, and as other have said the sponsor/nra number are optional. They promote NRA membership but don't require it.

I was at the range yesterday- weather was fine and was a nice day for shooting. Just wear boots because the range is still snow-covered. The road and parking lot were plowed, though.
