Never knew French Creek was closed but I'm 99% positive you can't shoot .223/5.56 there. I asked when I bought my hunting license and they said the round exceeded their speed requirements.

I'm in the same boat. I would like to join a club, but they all seem to have some rule that you have to be "sponsered" in. Do you mean the French Creek Game Lands? I am not sure if they are open. I didn't know they were one of the ranges that was closed.

I knew I could shoot it at SPAG but I'd prefer to shoot it further than 25yds... Thanks for the update on French Creek... Wasn't sure if it was open or not..

Try Southern Chester County Sportsmans and Farmers Association. They say you need to be sponsored, but it's not really true. You do have to go to a Thursday night meeting to join. Either that or I'm up for taking people out on a guest pass - $5 for a day guess pass (and I get to shoot your wares ) Saturdays are 10-5 and Sunday 12 to 4.

How about Holmesburg Fish and Game? It is in Philadelphia and has a 100yd rifle range. I shoot mine there all the time.

It is the best kept secret in Philly.
