I've been shooting off & on (mostly on for the last several years) in Phila. and this range is the best, BY FAR!

The range is clean, climate-controlled, well-ventilated, well-lit, and the electronic target system appears nearly state-of-the-art. I can't say this for certain as I don't know what the "state-of-the-art" is.

Membership fees are very reasonable, especially if you join during one of their promotions (Glock Day, Beretta Day, SIG Day, Italian Market Festival special, etc.).

Ammo prices are competitive and they will order almost anything you want if they don't have it in stock. My only complaint is that they will sometimes be out of a caliber I was hoping to shoot (like .45 Colt). No problems with most calibers, though.

The staff are knowledgable and very safety-conscious. They also love their Glocks there.

Prices for new guns are very competitive and you may do even better as a regular, repeat customer. Also, they will sell your gun for you on consignment for NO CHARGE. That's a terrific perk. I've made some terrific purchases of used guns there.

Finally, most of the people who shoot there seem pretty decent. I rarely have to worry about what the guy/gal in the next lane might be up to.

SPAG is the nicest range I've ever been to. I'm a "VIP" member and go twice a week or more. The employees and the clientelle are very friendly; more often than not I'll end up trying out somebody's gun on the range (with their permission!) including the time when some guy named Dan let me fire a little toy he brought.

I just got my VIP membership at SPAG yesterday.

I noticed they stopped selling Archery equipment and they dismantled their Archery range.

We should start a petition to get them to turn the downstair's Archery range into a bar.

That way we could have a one-stop shop for all our needs.

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem with L&I....
