Default Nockamixon PGC range

Was curious if anybody heard if it was going to ever reopen? It's been a while since I've been up there to check.

I was talking to one of the Target World Employees and they need to make improvements in the range before they can open it again. The funds have not been allocated to make the improvements yet; but from what i have heard they are still planning to reopen the range at some point.

I sure hope they reopen it, Nockamixon was close. Now I have to go all the way to French Creek if I want to shoot with my buddies because they aren't a member of the gun club that I am.

Yeah - that would be good news. Our new house is just a few miles from the Lake.

Just got off the phone with a PGC rep and asked him about the status of Nockamixon. He said they are on hold until a viable plan and funds are aquired to basically rebuild from scratch the range and remediate the lead contamination further than the original estimated site analysis. I haven't been up there since I was in the NAVY at Wilow Grove but it was a decent range as long as the buck-a-roo wanna be commandos weren't up to some unsafe crap you find at most of the SGL ranges.

So, I was talking to a buddy of mine yesterday, and he said somebody he knows found out that they were starting work on the Nockamixon range and they anticipate a July completion. Not sure of the accuracy of it, I'm just relaying what I was told.
