I mean, I don't see that the man did anything wrong. Illegal, yes. But given that he's had the weapons for decades and he never harmed anyone with them... I'm not really seeing a problem with it.
Alas, our government has egregiously violated the Constitution almost since its inception.
I liked the line, "At his Spokane apartment, feds say Struve had a number of anti-government materials, including a bumper sticker that read: "End the Fed.""
Well we live in a time when the .GOV has a good damn reason to fear the people. Thus the hysteria when stuff like this is uncovered. Of course, it will only make the .GOV worse, in respect to the problem...
Especially funny because that slogan is about the Federal Reserve, not a .GOV as implied in the article.
More media parroting and people wonder why newspapers are going the way of the Dodo. You think it's bad now? It's getting and going to get worse as media conglomerates seek bailout money and will bend over to prove they're worthy of it.
I wonder if he legally owned the machine guns????????? I am guessing not.

the MP40 looked sweet
well, maybe so many folks would become "anti-government" if the government wasn't so "anti-citizen".
yeah... I said it.
"UMM, yeah,uh, hello ATF? I bought the contents of a storage locker at auction, and there's a bunch of, like, bomb stuff in there. No guns, but lots of bomb stuff. What do I do?"
I can say for sure if I bought a lot and this is what was in it, I wouldn't tell anyone least of all an illegal organization like the ATF.
