Re: This Sunday, Some Churchgoers May Choose to Pack Guns With Their Bibles
Back in the early days of the colonies. Ben Franklin used to watch as houses and churches would burn down after being struck by lightning or other causes. The people at the time had no fire department and would let the buildings burn with religious leaders saying this was an act of God. Well, Ben Franklin was given the gift of intelligence by God and he started the first fire department to put these fires out because he believed that God gave him enough common sense to save both people and property by extinguishing the fires. Sometimes you just have to use the good sense that God has gifted you with.

Didn't he get into prevention by then inventing the lightning rod?
From wikipedia: The principle of the lightning rod was first detailed by Benjamin Franklin in Pennsylvania in 1749,[2] who in the subsequent years developed his invention for household application (published in 1753) and further improvements towards a reliable system around 1760.
Re: This Sunday, Some Churchgoers May Choose to Pack Guns With Their Bibles
MATTHEW 15: 17-19
"17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
So you ask the law makers, what laws can you make that will stop this? The answer is none. Not even God can prevent it. Any laws you make will burden only on the law abiding citizens.

Absolutely marvelous to read this!! So true that I often wonder if other people understand this fact or even care.
