Re: New Range - Guardian Training Center Warminster, PA
I mean, you can go and look up the 1 star reviews yourself. The owner posts as Guardian on Facebook and then has his staff come on and berate the individual and gang up on the reviewer. I've seen a bunch of the 1 star reviews where Its the owner, his girlfriend, the training manager's wife, and some staff members all trashing the person who posts a bad review. He threw Mission First Tactical out of his facility and told one of the MFT employees that his products were garbage and that he was going to put all of his broken MFT accessories on display to see how garbage they are. MFT is local to us and their products are the opposite of garbage, they aren't Magpul quality or anything like that but they certainly aren't garbage.

We've driven by the road for this range (with the small signs pointing where to turn) so many times while driving to other places that I think the next time we're in the neighborhood, we'll stop by. Everybody has a different first experience. We'll circle back and promise to let you know ours at the venue...

Looks like others have had a similar experience. :( But I think the real issue is can you go there and get quality training? I remember way back in the day, I had a prof whom I, and the rest of the class, couldn't tolerate. But, by gosh, I learned a lot from her. That said, I had no choice in profs because she was the only one who taught the course I needed :D :D In any case, as I noted before, GTC certainly appears to have some folks who train there who appear to have doggone good credentials. I sure hope there facility makes it because FoF training is what really counts when the SHTF. Just my .02$

the link you provided is from a different place - unless is the same guy they are refering to
Re: New Range - Guardian Training Center Warminster, PA
hmmm, Post #25 indicates owner's name is "Chris."
This link http://www.warwick-bucks.com/wp-cont...2-Guardian.pdf leads to GTC and it indicates in #9 that "Chris" is named as the principal. ,
So it would appear it's the "same guy they are referring to."
Whatever. From my perspective, no business that I know of can have 100% customer satisfaction. And when did they open? Could well be growing pains, I don't know. The most important thing from my POV is that they have an excellent facility, the one guy I know of who (last I knew) works there is named Mick, and he is one helluva good guy: doggone smart, skilled at arms, easy to talk with, willing to share his knowledge. Doesn't get better than that. And that force on force training is offered, well, worth it on that alone I'd say, for folks to give GTC a try to learn for themselves. For me, since I spend large portions of my time in the Northern Tier, it's more convenient for me to take advantage of a facility up that way. YMMV.

I was at Guardian over the weekend with friends, and have been there a few times before. I've never had any issues with the staff or the facility. All have been courteous and helpful. They put us next to someone shooting a SCAR 5.56. Talk about loud. They moved us away without issue and even changed the backers without being asked. I will go back again, but it's a long drive for me and I'm a member another range that's closer to home.
Side note: I've been told by friends that work at another range that GTC threw them out because they knew they worked at another range and "KNEW" they were going to "shoot up the place". They never even got past the counter and were escorted out. The range they work at was closed that day and they wanted to shoot, nothing more. I think I know these guys well enough to know they wouldn't go into another shop to damage it. Sadly, it sounds like GTC has some good staff and some head cases.
Re: New Range - Guardian Training Center Warminster, PA
So, a few things;
1. Yes, Chris is one of the owners but I believe that hes gotten most of the operating capital from his father.
2. Yes, Guardian has kicked people out from their facility who they recognize as employees from other local gun shops/shooting ranges when those individuals haven't done anything other than walk through the door. THey weren't going to "shoot up" the place.
3. Mick no longer works there. He quit after he tried to get Tanners to send them some business and the owner wouldn't honor the discounted rate that was initially agreed upon by Tanners and Guardian. Mick is a great guy, its a shame.
4. You can get quality training from them however its extremely easy to get on Chris' bad side. The man is very impatient and doesn't treat his customers very well. If you're not a high speed individual or don't pick techniques up quickly prepare to get yelled at or potentially kicked out of the range.

So chris likes high speed individuals. Do you know what his qualifications are?

I know that he has a Sniper tab and that he is National Guard as an infantry SSG. Outside of that, I don't know what he did as active, how many years he was active, what he did or even if he was active, and/or what his ERB says.

After reading all of this I very much regret ever being a member to this establishment. Looks like I'll be filing a dispute with my credit card company to fight the charges and never going back.
