It's starting to look like there will be more food than ammunition..........Just kidding.
My truck doesn't have one of those fancy schmancy 4WD knobs. It has a lever connected to a shift fork in the transfer case.
Unfortunately, my stepkid has been "borrowing it" for the last two years. I think I'm getting it back soon! :)
I'll be cruising up in the wife's Highlander. It doesn't have any way to turn the AWD off at all.
I just changed the oil, rotated the getting bald tires, recharged the A/C, and updated the computer logic for the transmission. It shifted like a Honda Accord that's a quart and a half low on fluid. It was F'ing painful. It was never quite sure what gear it wanted to be in, or when would be a pretty good time to shift.
I couldn't find the damn service bulletin that had the updated logic. I found a Canadian one that the numbers matched, and it worked! Woo hoo! The '05 ECM interface is SLOW. It took 40 min for the first file to load, and 25 for the second one. That was a bunch of fun.
I have some surplus "Rifle, Target, D 1,000 inch range" targets that I'll bring. I always seem to shoot well with those. Maybe I am a bit racist.
I also have a 10" shoot n' seal gong, and a metal resetting rimfire target. I'll see whatever else I can find while I'm digging stuff out.
Knobs? Levers? Pfft!

My Wrangler has manly lever operated Command Trac 4WD.

Waiting for tires right now. Getting better ones than quoted for same price because quoted ones weren't in stock.
