The problem is once you get a full grip the size of the gun ends up being G19 sized and only a little thinner.

You mean a Walther PPS?
Sort of old news. As the internet stories go, I know a guy who told me a prototype exists and they have seen it although its release is unknown. This was the big let down from SHOT 2011. More than one trusted person has claimed its existence but nothing has ever come from it.
What is that an indicator of? Someone with a shitty grip. It's an annoying habit that one should lose because in a real life encounter you won't have time to readjust your grip after every shot fired. I've seen people do that on every kind of gun from snubnose revolvers to full size glocks and so on. How you can possibly think that's an issue of the gun is beyond me.
As far as the OP, I think that glock is going to kick themselves for not getting in on this single stack movement. The glock 36 is still a huge thick piece of crap.
If SA can keep the reliability factor on these guns up, and they prove to be of dimensions condusive to deep concealment, I will consider picking one up. I am not a fan of other "deep conceal" guns like kahr, keltec, ruger lcp, taurus types, etc as they simply are not as reliable.
The weight on this makes it pointless, IMO.
How so? I find increased weight to be a great aid in handling recoil when shooting guns. I also find people who complain about the weight of a gun in regards to carrying often have no gun belt, or one that is complete garbage, and the same thing with their holster set up. If your holster is garbage uncle mikes nylon, or any other poorly designed holster, then yes, you're going to feel the full weight of a gun, especially if you have no gun belt.
I can carry my full size glock 22 all day and I barely notice it at all, because i have a good gun belt and a great holster. The weight has no bearing on me because I have PROPER gear.
With the popularity of the 9mm and 40sw I'm surprised they didn't come out with one of these calibers first.
