Re: Trail camera pictures
Thanks Phil, we are having lots of fun with this
camera. It's a Spy-Point IR-5. Infra-red flash will
not spook the subject, it will take single shots, groups of
4 shots spaced 10 seconds apart and videos of 30, 45, 60 and
120 seconds. Looked at reviews of many but this one
was the one we liked best. Midway USA had a promotion
so we saved a few bucks there. Believe there is an IR-6 with
higher megapics.

Left it for a week on the video mode and all I got was
a video of our dog taking a leak. Good camera, not too
expensive and it does lots of things.

Look for the IR flash, amount of megapic, power source
and read the reviews that you can find. Hope you pick one up and enjoy it...

Re: Trail camera pictures
I picked up one of those $37 Walmart cameras this year because I wanted to leave it out on public ground and figured it would get stolen, it hasn't yet but I will pull it Saturday once archery is over. I wasn't expecting much but I figured it was better than nothing, I was pleasantly surprised. The only problems I encountered was it eats batteries much faster than my better cameras and sometimes it doesn't flash at night for some reason. Here's a sample of the pics it takes, pretty good quality I think for $37.

I've seen guys on other forums swearing they were junk so maybe I just got lucky with this one but even if it shit the bed now I got my moneys worth out of it, I've had it out since September.

Here is a Trail cam pic of the deer I got Sat. my hunting buddy sent me the picture in Sept ( he is still in velvet) and sure enough it looks like a dead ringer. It's pretty cool to get a picture of the deer you shoot later on. Here are the pictures, Dead and alive.
