I would assassinate squirrels with a hunter town arms can on a 10/22 rifle. Cheap can and cheap host that are a very quiet combo with subsonic ammo.

Getting suppressors was one of the biggest perks I looked forward to in moving here from a state of prior residence that I couldn't have them.
Thanks for weighing in - all very positive comments - Thanks... I have to consider a new direction here.
head shots with an air gun are an option as well
i do not know the legal implications though
Our pest control company doesn't allow firearms in its mission - however from time to time due to regulations and operations a bird can "Shut down" a food grade facility due to an open door or delivery vendor mistake..an FDA enforcement officer can make that decision. - we do get calls for population reduction of rats too. We have a Marine on staff with sharpshooter status.
If we get a call we can come in and clean up. In the past it was a practical .22 air rifle and scope with non lead ammunition, at less than 1000 fps.
I am looking into upgrading the operation, & for personal use, with a wildlife licence. Most likely I will carry both licences.
Thanks for the information above - the suppressor mentioned and getting the right permits are excellent.
If you need it, Rifled Barrel, Suppressor (breaks in after 50 shots) and very accurate. http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Gamo_W...fle_Combo/1275
I have one and it's worked great vs trying to quiet down a .22cal. Plus they sell it locally at most gun stores in PA. One downside, the scope its a little cheap but works.
From the BATF&E........................ Yes, I know it's an ancient thread,,, but now that it's reopened....
(M30) Are Paintball and/or Airgun
Sound Suppressers NFA firearms?
The terms "firearm silencer" and
"firearm muffler" mean any device for
silencing, muffling, or diminishing the
report of a portable firearm, including
any combination of parts, designed or
redesigned, and intended for use in
assembling or fabricating a firearm
silencer or firearm muffler, and any
part intended only for use in such
assembly or fabrication.
Numerous paintball and airgun silencers
tested by ATF’s Firearms
Technology Branch have been determined
to be, by nature of their design
and function, firearm silencers.
Because silencers are NFA weapons,
an individual wishing to manufacture
or transfer such a silencer must receive
prior approval from ATF and
pay the required tax. See Questions
M15 and 16 for application details.
If I have any further questions as
to the classification of a paintball
or airgun silencer, who should I
contact?
Please send a written request to
ATF’s Firearms Technology Branch.
