Magazines & Ammo for a 6.5mm Carcano M91 Moschetto da Cavalleria (cavalry carbine)
My online searching skills are failing me.
I just inherited this rifle (in remarkably good condition including the bayonet) and would like to clean it, and run a few rounds through it. Unfortunately, I cant find a magazine for it anywhere, let alone ammo. I probably just dont know what to ask for.
Does anyone have a lead on what the magazine in this would be called where I can find it, and the ammo?
I'm OK ordering online.
Thanks in advance.

You are seeking Carcano "en-bloc" clips, not magazines. I see them on EBay and GunBroker. Numrich Gun Parts has them:
Heck, at one point I seem to remember them on Sportsmen's Guide. Hope this helps.

This is one one instance where you need a clip (for all those who have a magazine/clip pet peeve :)) Like stated, fleabay, numrich or gunbroker may be your best bet. As far as ammo, Aimsurplus.com has 6.5 Carcano made by Prvi. Good stuff for a decent price.
BTW...where are the pics??

keep in mind this is one of those guns that probablyhas killed just as many behind it, as it did in front of it.

Hornaday (sold through Graf's) sells 6,5 carcano in boxer primed, reloadable cases. This is actually made by Privi Partizan (which might be a little cheaper) . Google Privi Partizan ammo and look for someone who carries it. I know Midway does. Reloading data can be found on Surplusrifle.com.
Hope this helps.
