Here's a conceal carry map that you can plug in your State and see who honors it. Doesn't look like NY is good in PA ?

if i'm not mistaken, you can still transport firearms to and from a range without an LTCF, but they can't be transported loaded, or anything.
Transport your firearms unloaded and in the trunk of your vehicle and you will be fine. While you are at it, apply for a LTCF from Pennsylvania... they are new and improved, they cut grease, make your car shine like new, press your pants and make your breath smell great. :)
as long as he does that only when going directly from his house in NY to his vacation home in PA...and then directly from his vacation home in PA to the range and directly back from the range to his home in PA.
he cannot legally drive around randomly with (even) the unloaded pistol in his car. but he can go directly to his vacation home and then from there to the range and back.
now, if the NY Pistol License is actually a carry license from NY, then he can carry a loaded pistol in his car all he wants in PA...but, i don't think a NY Pistol License is a CCW permit--I think it is just a license to own a pistol in NY (not to carry it). i could be wrong about that, though.
he will first need a carry permit/license from NY. PA requires residents of states that issue carry permits/licenses to have a permit/license from their home state before PA will issue a non-resident LTCF to them. (this, of course, sucks for people who live in may issue states where they cannot actually get a permit/license). a UT or FL permit might be a good option, though.Quote:
