White Clay Creek Preserve/Ridley Creek
I hunted Ridley Creek once last year during archery season. No luck but lots of deer sign and LOTS of huntable land.
Just found out about White Clay Creek Preserve which allows deer hunting only. Anyone ever hunt this area? I'm really trying to expand my knowledge of huntable land in and around montgomery and chester county.
Re: White Clay Creek Preserve/Ridley Creek
Im a bit confused about hunting White Clay. I understand its Archery (Bow or Cross bow) and also "Muzzlerloader". Muzzleloader in quotes because thats what it says we can use. Now there are a few other areas around that state
"primitive weapons only" Heres where i have my problem. "Muzzleloader" does it have to be a Flintlock? Or can it be a percussion inline. Goat Hill Serpentine Barrens in Nottinghan is one of those areas that is also "primitive weapons only" but from what i understand its Flintlock only. I guess what im trying to say is would we be able to hunt the regular gun seasons in these areas useing a percussion inline. Also Franklin Township has a deal with the Franklin sportsman ass. to let the club members gun hunt alot of the areas in and around white clay. But this "muzzleloader" thing has me a little messed up.
