If out of time and opportunity to change the position of the scope and check for or re-zero, I'd go with the smaller view as is. For a half inch, I'd guess you are still seeing the reticle center and a smaller circle of target?

yes, Its a 4x12 the higher i turn it the smaller my field of vision. I will probably only hunt the saturdays now so ill suffer through it. I can make it work but it takes much longer to get on target if im not in the right position. If I stand up and hold it, its fine. If im in my chair and its an angle shot or I have to turn to the left I cant get close enough. Thanks for the responses. I planned to hunt more then I am going to now so for 2 days Ill just deal with it or take my older 243.
