Hey, what about BIDS instead?
I'm sorry, but until they can submit a bill for this:that is separate from this:then it's a no-go for me. I have no desire to be at the mercy of a federal system that doesn't have the funding (or desire) to investigate challenges of false denials. Absolutely no desire. None. Zero. Less than zero, really.
The last report of the NICS challenge time frame is 18+ months.
Yes, that is right.. ...if you are denied, your challenge time frame is 18 months. PA State Police - between 1 week and 4 weeks, depending on the complicity of the situation and how much data you can send them to prove you are not prohibited.
Cede local control to the feds? Nope. Not a good trade at all.
Rick
I know this has been debated here many times, and I am leaning towards keeping the PICS. Sure would be nice to do sales/purchases with a LTCF (if that's even part of it?).
Denies funds to the PSP and does away with ROS database. Good enough for me.
Federal granting of permissions of things gun-related run into tens of months now. I'd like to know (receive assurances) that their "system" would be anything resembling instant, and remain so.
Gotta agree, keep it in state.
