Re: Can you get a license to carry a firearm after an expungement
I'm not sure why you'd choose such a username but if you are a freemason then half the battle should already be won as lots of doors are opened to masons as I understand.

Merriam-Webster disagrees with you, but agrees with Streaker and me. It states that an "initialism" is a subset of "acronyms".
And even an "initialism" should be capitalized, wouldn't you agree?

That is the name of my lodge Prince Hall Lodge No.57

Skip the LTCF acronym and just call it a ... gun permit ;)

I gathered that and I live not too far from a Prince Hall lodge.I've always thought that masons like to keep a rather low profile in the public.Anyhow, welcome and good luck with your situation.I realize different factors were at play but I happen to know someone who did have an expungement and was still given a permit and is to this day allowed to purchase firearms.

Yes I should have capitalized LTCF in my grammar NAZI reply.
Streaker's reply to draw attention to my error also erred, IMO.
From my meager education I recall an acronym forms a word.

Way too many letters for 2015, GL. Right now I coin the term GL for gun license. Sorry Gun Lawyer :D

"LTCF" is more accurate and less confusing, which is good in an area of the law where there's so much confusion, even among LEO's and ADA's.
There are states which require a permit just to own a gun. Pennsylvania is not among those fascist states. We only require a license if you wish to carry it concealed or in a vehicle, so our license is best called a "license to carry firearms". Using the shorter term undersells the freedom advantage which we enjoy over some (but not all) other states.

Thank you for your encouragement. We keep a low profile when it comes to things we do that aren't for the public for example meetings and conferring degrees but we all say it with pride that we are Prince Hall Freemasons and wear regalia displaying our symbols.

I concur.
One can also pronounce FBI as a word, "fuh-bye."
