LTCF Renewal: Delco-->Philly?
So, I'm a little over a year away from needing to renew my (issued in Delaware County) LTCF and I have since moved to Philadelphia county.
What steps should I take to make this go as smoothly as possible? Do I just need to show up at the Philly gun permit office and say "renewal please"?
I had read something on here suggesting I change my address with the issuing Sheriff's office but when I tried to do that last week I was told they could (would?) not change the address to a different county. The clerk offered to revoke my Delco permit to which I quickly said "no thanks!", knowing that a revoked license can lead to questions and trouble down the road.
Has anyone here gone through the process of renewing another county's LTCF in Philly?
Re: LTCF Renewal: Delco-->Philly?
Thanks for setting me straight. Sounds relatively painless by Philly standards.

Are you saying that Philly no longer requires you to put references on the official app or just not fill out the extra reference forms they had?

My question as well. The spaces for refs are on the application form.

I know that they had their extra reference sheets to be filled out, but that ruling apparently covers the reference requirements altogether.
I don't really see the need at all for references, but it still is on the LTCF application.

Heh! I worked there for 33 years (in a nasty part of Germantown, no less). The only way I go into the city, now, is if there is no other way to avoid it.
