York County- 'Concealed Weapons Permit'
I'm thinking about contacting my local sherrif's office and inquiring about correcting their word choices.

I don't doubt that this is a subtle means of preventing OC.
Thoughts?
Re: York County- 'Concealed Weapons Permit'
Good luck to them preventing OC. I plan on heading out to York one of these days for shits and giggles, and guess what I will be doing while there?
I have to coordinate with Steve so we can both be monitored on the email together.

I OC whenever I'm in PA (I work and go to school in MD) and haven't had any issues yet. I just think it's pretty obvious that even though they issue LTCFs, their site says 'Concealed Weapons Permit' so some will think OC is not allowed.
Re: York County- 'Concealed Weapons Permit'
I'm not a wording nazi, and even I had to cringe at this one.
Re: York County- 'Concealed Weapons Permit'
In montgomery county they have a big sign that says, "GUN PERMITS." I don't see the point in arguing about it, they will just call it a technicality. And in all honesty, thats all it is.

But "Gun Permits" versus "Concealed Weapons Permit" would seem to be a different thing. They're saying it "permits" you to conceal a weapon, but no mention of OC to possibly deter people from doing so.

There's no requirement in the state statutes for that...only that non-state residents have a permit/license to carry from their home state, if it does issue them.
Re: York County- 'Concealed Weapons Permit'
I live in Connecticut and have a CT LTC, CT drivers license, and PA LTC issued in Pike county. My sister lives in Adams county just west of York.
This appears to say that they will not reconize my PA permit.
