Are they in violation of the preemption law also? Or is it because of the memorial park

As far as I know, all of Waynesboro's parks have the same regulations posted. They are all in violation at this time, but as we discussed earlier, that is being addressed.
Washington Township seems to be in compliance with 6120. As parks go in this area, the only unknown is Renfrew Park.
Renfrew is owned by Waynesboro but its leased to the Renfrew Musium and Park Conservatory who maintains and keeps the park.
I believe because the park is leased to a private corporation, they can have whatever regulations they want.
ok thanks for summing that up.
Steve, just to keep you informed, I looked a little closer, Washington Township parks are infact in violation of 6120.
I have started the ball rolling by sending an email to the board.
thank you.
I havent "inquired" but I did do a little easy research on it. Renfrew land and structures are owned by the borough of Waynesboro, but, Renfrew is leased to and managed by a private corporation. Because it is leased to a private corporation I dont believe it is subject to preemption laws. Which is a bummer because I really like Renfrew.
Feel free to pursue a possible violation at Renfrew if you want. I will help where I can, but I really dont think they are in violation.
I have to get busy emailing the Waynesboro manager again. Its been about a month since the board members voted to change the park rules and they havent done jack yet, so I need to get back to them. If you like, I'll mention Renfrew when I email them. I'm not going to be very forceful about Renfrew though, I'll just inquire to the status of the park. Unless you want to handle that one.
