Question for Glock experts
Why arent the Glock trigger guards rounded off, instead of having that ridiculous (imho) squared off pointed front on it?
Seems to me that the pistol would both look better and be more comfortable to carry with a rounded trigger guard. FWIW, I'm referring specifically to the G43, designated concealed carry pistol.
My apologies if this question has been beaten to death, my search function don't show anything.
Re: Question for Glock experts
The front of the trigger guard is like that to be used as a finger rest by your support hand.

Actually, it's not designed or made that way to accommodate any portion of your firing grip.
It is copying a previous pistolsmiths signature design for the guard.
Years ago, a pistol Smith making custom 1911s incorporated the squared off design to make his pistols distinguishable from others.
Pistolsmiths get paid by how many hours they incorporate into the production of their gun.
Additional checkering, serrations etc etc all take more time and subsequently increase the price.
I don't remember exactly how Gaston
came to use the squared off guard.
This is information I recently became aware of during a 3 day pistol class given by a top tier instructor.
People see the serrations and mistakenly assume it's for a finger.
Re: Question for Glock experts
All you need is a sharpie marker, a dermmel and 10 minutes then blamo you have a round trigger guard. Just remember it will no longer be a retention point if you have molded kydex holsters.

I've already rounded mine off, and hand finished with 1000 grit paper. I use a Sticky holster, no issues at all. And the gun looks 100% better.

Re: Question for Glock experts
It is very useful for controlling muzzle flip.

Re: Question for Glock experts
I am looking forward to seeing that rounded trigger guard.
