.45 Receipe for G21

Hey guys, I went to the range today with some reloads I made for a G21 that I recently acquired. I had a bunch of FTfeed and FTEject some stovepipes and some that never left the chamber. I'm using range brass,CCI LP primers, 5.0gr of Unique and Berry's 230gr double struck round nose with an OAL of 1.27. I also fired some Speer GD, Double Tap 230gr bonded with no issues so I know it's my load. I am looking for a good load for Unique Powder these are my first .45 and also my first anything with Unique; any help would be greatly appreciated.

6.0 grns of unique at 1.25 oal always worked for me .

What about my OAL of 1.27 is that too long? Or possibly just too light of a load??
