That pretty much describes both my firearm and golf club purchases over the past several years.

Exactly! I had one of those mini-revolvers , but in .22lr. Once the novelty wore off , , .
Re: Should I buy this pointless firearm?
I guess there's only one way to find out.
Re: Should I buy this pointless firearm?
You must have money to burn!! At that price point I can think of a thousand more useful guns I'd rather have.

And that's why the OP needs to take up flyfishing. It is the PERFECT pistol to fit in a tackle box/vest/fishing chest pack. Once he has that, the purchase is wholly justified. Every THING in the universe has its unique niche. That is the niche that the NAA revolvers fill better than all others. It would be good for over the road bicycling as well. Much like the old .17 mail carrier's pistols.

You're evil. Fly fishing is worse than guns when it comes to spending money on gear. I've been there

My golf clubs haven't been out for 5 years.
Andthey are expensive (bought them for work golf where status is everything)
Maybe now that I am retired they might see some use this spring.:)

It doesn't have to be. This is my super-expensive, anti-Orvis rod made from a Beech sapling, diaper pins for eyelets, electrical tape, and a cheap real/line setup. And that's a 19" bass that I caught with it on a yellow wooly bugger.
