Anyone been in there recently remember what the prices were like on the AR15s? Thinking about buying my first BR, trying to compare some stuff.

Yeah,I would call them both before going, Tanner's is almost always has the better price
surplus city had good prices for their christmas sale, but are otherwise rather high. I'd goto tanners as well, good selection and good prices.
Rob at surplus will order you anything you want, but stock on black rifles is usually limited. usually just some USED colts. when i deal there in cash i always skip on paying tax and nics check, so the price on the gun is the price out the door. tanners is good, but there is rarely any haggling, but everyone there is knowledgeable. iirc classic pistol has a good bit of ARs. and don't be scared to buy online and have it shipped to Tanners. i saved 600 dollars on a benelli o/u that millers in Delaware wanted 3200 for. if you buy it out of state tanners doesn't collect the tax, just $40 to do background and transfer and everyone gathers around to see 'what's in the box' you just call tanners and they fax their ffl anywhere you want. afaik surplus doesn't do transfers
I second the motion to visit Tanners.
