Important News
The June show will be held at a new temporary site at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds. Please refer to our updated newsletter.
Bump to the top for the upcoming weekend . . .
I'll be there early on Sat, have a No1 MkIII Enfield and a Swiss K11 to peddle . . .
Noah
Last I heard, (as mentioned) the show is not being held at the regular spot behind the mall. Instead it's being held at the Fair Grounds.

So its the next exit off the turnpike after 30? I had to go to court out there once.
Hey everyone. How far is this show from Philadelphia roughly ??
I was just at the VF show this past weekend, first time going to a show to actually look and buy.
Is this show the same as the VF one just diffrent vendors...or some of the same vendors ?
Or is this a show just for collector firearms and things like that. Also is the show any good ?
There are some of the same vendors. This show is historically a lot smaller than VF. VF is the biggest in the state. I'd rate this show a little better than the Oaks show.
It's probably around a 4 hour drive, and not worth it in my opinion. There are very few deals at gun shows, and you usually do better just shopping on the internet.
Drive from Philthadelphia is probably around 4.0-4.5 hrs. IMO, too far. For example, I don't go to VF, that's a 5 hr drive for me.
There will be some of the same faces, many different faces behind the tables. However, there will be much of the same feces flying around and piling up in the aisles.
Is it a "good" show? That depends. Twenty years ago it blew away any show in the eastern part of PA. Not so anymore. Lots of the older dealers are dead, and the PGCA management drove a bunch away with stupid limitations and rules. What's left is a bunch of usual suspects that cart many of the same guns to the PGCA show, time after time. Prices tend to run retail plus, mostly plus. For the past two, maybe three years it's a "grab for all the gusto" sort of mentality behind the tables.
For me, it's a great show for getting rid of unwanted firearms that I "bought right" and price reasonably when I decide to part with them, and also for finding parts and bits and pieces.
As for driving from Philthadelphia to near Greensburg, I would not. Not worth it. For you, you'd be better off going to the Eagle Arms show in Lebanon this weekend. You'll see mostly "usual suspects" from your side of the state, familiar faces from last weekend at VF.
Hope that helps,
Noah
