I want to volunteer posting the political action banners till the election
I want to volunteer posting the political action banners till the election.
As I recently posted in http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=311352&page=11
I want to bring back the political action banners on PAFOA to engage the uninvolved, non-member gun owners that visit PAFOA.
It is obvious that PAFOA gets minimal traffic in the political sections of the forum, and gets much more traffic in the general sections by non-member visitors.
I want there to be clear political action banners that all casual PAFOA visitors will see on their way to the general sections of the forum.
For the most part, the banners will be connected to the political action messages put out by NRA-ILA, GOA and FOAC.
I am happy to volunteer to do this work for PAFOA.
I think it would be best if my banners were approved by a senior PAFOA member or moderator before posting.
These next two weeks are crucial to get out the vote.
I would like to start the banners without delay.
For the sake of all our gun rights, I would appreciate any moderator feedback on this issue.
Thank you.

Only admins have access to that section.
If there is a banner that is needed, post it here and I'll copy-paste it in the admin panel.

Hi knight0334,
Please see the suggestions listed below.
Feel free to edit as you see fit.
Please send me a PM if there is anything more you may need, or if other volunteer effort would be helpful.
Thanks again.

On the main PAFOA page http://www.pafoa.org/
Please remove all items currently in the box “Recent News and Articles” (they are all very old and make the portal look unused).
Please replace them with the linked “Title” written below, with a big enough font to fill the box, and please make the background bright.
If possible, please also place a duplicate linked “Title” as a banner with a bright background on the PAFOA Discussion Forum page http://forum.pafoa.org/.
Please link both copies of the “Title” to the “Full Post” written below.
Please place the “Full Post” in the Discussion Forum under the “National Politics” section http://forum.pafoa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=11.

Rumor has it there is a range at the Pittcairn Monroeville Sportsman's Club that needs some trash picked up.
Just messing with you Berncly. It's good to see people still want to make a difference :)

I agree. The inactive appearance is likely counterproductive. I owe the op some rep.
Re: I want to volunteer posting the political action banners till the election
What you are asking to post is a News & Articles posting, which only 1 person has access to that side of PAFOA - DanP.
I can add banners in the forum, and that is way too big for a banner.

Ok.
If I understand correctly, if I place my full post in National Politics, and you make a banner, you cannot link the banner to my post, and I need to ask DanP to make that happen?
Is there a best way to contact DanP?

In a thread somewhere, the op mentioned this.
I relayed that on Saturday while at a local shop of course the election came up.
A guy standing there talking mentioned The Truth About Guns and that PAFOA was mentioned there.
He said he came to the site and it looked dead, outdated "current events".
Castle Doctrine? Really?
I told him to search for PAFOA forum and he could at least find the forum.
As another member here likes to bring up, there are 70,000 members here.
The outdated main page isn't helping to bring in new blood.
With all the attacks on gun owners that page should be updated weekly and IMO the link to the forum should be more prominent.
Re: I want to volunteer posting the political action banners till the election
Ok.
I sent a PM to DanP with my simplified request.
I already posted the message in National Politics here:
http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=311653
My specific request follows:
On the main PAFOA page http://www.pafoa.org/
Please remove all items currently in the box “Recent News and Articles” (they are all very old and make the portal look unused).
Please replace them with a bright background and link to the post: http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=311653
Please also link the post to a bright banner on the PAFOA Discussion Forum page http://forum.pafoa.org/.
