A fix for stiff plastic (kydex) holsters
If you have a Fobus or Boraii or similar plastic holster that grips the trigger guard so tight that it makes the draw difficult, here is the fix.
Push the empty pistol part way into the tight spot so it is flexed open just a little. Use a hairdryer very gently and slowly to warm and soften the plastic.
Let it cool. Try the new tension. Reheat if needed. If you over do it, no problem. Just put a clamp on the wide spot and warm it back to tighter fit.
Warning!!! again do not over heat.

You did say empty pistol right? Sounds like a plan.

I have a stiff Alien paddle holster that is tight no matter how I loosen the screws so may try your plan. Don't have a hair dryer though because I have NO hair but sure do have a heat gun.

Keep the heatgun on low and keep it moving, if you have it on high, you'll blister the plastic.

I have one I have been planning to do.
Re: A fix for stiff plastic (kydex) holsters
OP - Have you actually done this with a Fobus holster? What you describe should work fine with Kydex or other Thermo-molded plastics. I believe that Fobus holsters (and Blade-Tech Revolution line holsters) are injection molded - so I'm not sure this method would work with them. Anybody try this with an injection molded holster?

I used WD-40 in the same way.

Heat gun should do the trick but if it still grabs in spots try this. I bought it to reduce micro abrasions,Works well.

Everyone should have a hair dryer, with or without hair. They're useful if the pipes freeze, if you have an earache, if you want to soften plastic or dry your armpits. Many of them have a "no heat" setting which allows you to blow crap off fridge radiators or computer components. They can dry out your shoes if you step in a puddle and can't wait for evaporation, or if you don't want to bang the bejeezus out of your clothes dryer. They can pre-warm your sheets on a cold winter's night.
They are a tool that every man needs.*
