Why is this even a crime?

A federal grand jury has indicted a West Mifflin firearms dealer on a count of illegal sales by a licensed dealer.
Jamie Chonko, 34, of Anthony Arms, is accused of selling four handguns to an out-of-state resident on June 19 of this year knowing that the buyer did not live in Pennsylvania.
Federal law prohibits sales of handguns by licensed dealers to out-of-state residents.
Ms. Chonko was indicted Jan. 7 and the case was unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court.
Maybe the guns where shipped directly to the buyer?
"The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Friday the process of revoking Anthony Arms' firearms license has begun."
Scruff--its buried in 18USC922. You can't knowingly sell a firearm (handgun) to an out of State resident. Ms. Chonko was either ignorant of the law, or deliberately violated it. I can't imagine an FFL putting their license in jeopardy deliberately. Perhaps the buyer presented an old PA driver's license.
One thing is certain. Torsten Ove is notoriously anti gun, and a few years ago I challenged an article of hers/his [no clue if Torsten is male or female], and the response to me was that I was a gun nut, and Torsten dismissed me out of hand.
I was in Allegheny Arms on Monday night and they were saying Anthony's is now closed? Something to do with the Fed case or did something else happen?

Thanks.
https://www.post-gazette.com/news/cr...s/202001100135 is the original article about Anthony Arms running afoul of BATFE. I haven't seen any updates, such as court dates, etc., nor have I looked. The violation could certainly have shuttered their doors.
