Are there any trap/skeet/sporting clay ranges in the area? Where's the closest one?
Hey, I was just thinking yesterday how I could use my yard for clay pigeons to home in my aim, just need one of those throwing machines .I know there is one (Hallstead/Great Bend Rod and Gun club) somewhere near Great Bend.I think everyone by me (Thompson)just shoots in their woods/yard atleast I do.
I've been going to a friends field for trap shooting but I'd like to try skeet and maybe sporting clays too. I'd just like to try out a professional setup.
I'll have to look into the one in Great Bend.
Hi, I just joined here and came across this thread. If you are interested in Sampling the various clay target sports the best bet is the Binghamton Gun Club.

They have a "Professional" setup with a nice Sporting Clays course (Be prepared to walk this one or rent a cart!) Traditional American Trap and Skeet fields (Several of Each) Five Stand, and International Skeet and Bunker Trap.
Their rates are relatively Cheap, especially if you take out a membership ($35 yr)
Yes they are in Noo Yawk, so be very carful NOT to carry a handgun into the state. But they are close to the PA line and you can easily get there by taking rt 92 to RT 17 west. The website gives directions.
Worth a visit, they are nice folks.
I used to shoot Sporting Clays regularly before I retired to PA. Still occasionally shoot a round.
Good shooting!
Cool! Thanks for that idea!
New Milford Rifle and Pistol Club - http://rifleandpistol.weebly.com/ requires active NRA membership and police background check
Silver Lake Rod and Gun - http://www.silverlakerodandgunclub.com/ more rules and a bit more strict
If u want to take a ride to the Lehigh Valley there is Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays in Coplay, PA. Awesome sporting clays course. Its like golfing but for men . . .
