Greyhound Bus weapons policy
While looking over the Greyhound website, I thought I would check their weapons policy; however, I was only able to find this short quote:
Quote:
On Board Restrictions
For everyone's safety and comfort, Greyhound asks that customers please follow certain restrictions while on board. Federal law does not permit smoking on Greyhound buses. We have a zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs, weapons and unruly behavior.
No other reference or legal reasoning is provided. Surprisingly Greyhound Canada has more information on their site: http://www.greyhound.ca/en/travel_in.../baggage.shtml

Re: Greyhound Bus weapons policy
I took a Greyhound bus from Scranton to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO 2 years ago. I'll never do THAT again! Here's what I can tell you.
The bigger bus stations (Philly, Pitt, Indianapolis etc.) wand occasionally during the day when it's busy. Philly went through bags both times I was there on that trip. A p3at carried mexican(only while in the station) behind my belt buckle got me through the one time I was wanded. My 1911 was inside my pack in a playstation box until I got to MO and could carry it. I had no issue. I would NOT EVER ride a bus again without carrying. I'm unsure if peaceable journey applies to a trip like that. I hoped it did.

Rode a bus from Houston to Butler. Lots of scary people around the bus stations. Better safe than sorry

And AMTRAK being a quasi-Federal agency, the penalty is MUCH worse. ;)
Re: Greyhound Bus weapons policy
Being good at the art of concealing means never having to worry about silly little " no firearms/weapons" rules at a business. ( As long as it's not federal or state.)
