How did you do in Warren County?
Just wondering how hunters did in Warren County. We hunted Hickory Creek Wilderness on opening day and saw about 13 deer between 5 of us. My nephew missed an 8 point but that was the highlight of the day. I really enjoy the ANF and will always hunt there but it's a little disappointing to see so few deer.

Couldn't stand not seeing a response to your post anymore. Nobody in my family got anything in Warren county. I didn't make itbout but my dad and brothers did. Hopefully you had better luck.
Re: How did you do in Warren County?
LOL... We didn't have any luck. We hunted the Hickory Creek Wilderness area of the ANF.
Re: How did you do in Warren County?
My family and I mostly hunt up near Spring Creek/Corry area as my Aunt & Uncle own property up there. Its nice just getting out in the woods for some peace and quiet, not alot of that where I live now unfortunately.

I used to fish Caldwell creek but haven't been on it for years. My parents used to live in the Tidioute area so I used to make it up probably twice a month. These damn gas prices make the trip in the 4X4 kinda expensive so I don't make it up there as much as I'd like these days. I'll still always spend opening day up there though, I love the atmosphere and so many memories.

I used to play baseball against Tidioute, not to far from where I grew up. As for gas prices ..... I know, drive a 2010 F150 FX4 supercab with a 36 gallon tank..... filling it up is painful to say the least. It's always peaceful back home, especially considering now I live about 30 miles east of Philly where traffic is horrible.........

We have a camp in W. Spring Creek and between 4 of us, we only saw 9 deer the first week. The rain didnt help at all.
Re: How did you do in Warren County?
I got cold and wet twice.
Saw nothing
Had a ball!
Re: How did you do in Warren County?
Amen to that! You ain't hunting if you ain't cold. LOL

It definitely was cold and wet... then the fog started rolling in. My buddy saw a huge rack on the second day in the Hickory Creek Wilderness Area but couldn't get a shot. We all decided to not take a doe this year but all I saw on opening day was a spike. I was lucky and took an 8 point in President Twp (Venango) on the last Saturday of flintlock.
