65 Democrats send letter to Holder opposing new AWB
Quote:
Today in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, 65 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives, led by Congressman Mike Ross (D-AR), expressed their opposition to the reinstatement of the failed 1994 ban on semi-automatic firearms and ammunition magazines. These congressmen cited numerous studies that proved the 1994 ban was ineffective, and they strongly urged Attorney General Holder to stop his effort and instead focus on the enforcement of existing gun laws.

I got to "The Honorable" and couldn't read anymore.
Seriously though, the short letter speaks common sense so of course it will be ignored.
The antis are waiting for the right school shooting or criminal act to push the AWB through. (of course, they'll never talk about the SSRI drugs the shooters are on 90% of the time)
I suspect the feds will set up some retards (literally, the people they setup are often retarded) and get them to buy some ARs and claim they want violence. You'll hear on the news that an Islamic extremist group or white supremacist group or something bought 20 Ar-15s for "terror" and they'll play it 24/7 to scare the sheep.

Obama and Holder can have dreams of having a AWB again, but without Congress to make the law - it wont happen.
65 Dem's is a good start, ..now to make sure the rest of them and the Reps follow step.

Just because they said they don't want to ban GUNS doesn't mean that they don't want to ban AMMO, TAX your guns and/or ammo when you (if you can afford to) purchase them, or pass "microstamping" laws, "ammo tracing" laws, or establish a national registry (read - impose a tax on all of the guns that you have registered).
Obama said "tax cut for 95% of Americans on your paycheck" yet he raised taxes something like 195% on about 20% (cigarette tax).
Keep that in mind.
