On a new to me yugo SKS I'm cleaning, the gas piston slid right out. I cleaned the piston and the tube, now the piston doesn't want to go back in freely. I didn't drop it or bang it with anything. I'm at a total loss now. HELP

did You move the gas tube?
what position is the spring in?
(Yup...had both happen. was ready to lose my shit)
in a pinch, betting on an appropriate YouTube vid.
Great post (vid). Thanks!
Thanks fellows, the piston came out real easy, but wouldn't go back in. I had a brainstorm, what if maybe there so much carbon in there, this will only fit in a certain direction. I took the piston and rotated it about a 16th of an inch and kept doing that until it fell right in. I then took some pretty worn out P220 sandpaper, scuffed it about 2 inches deep, now the piston falls right in. Thanks again, Joe
