I'm looking forward to my time here on PAFOA..
Welcome. I recently fled the Socialist Republic of New Jersey for the same sorts of reasons and am very happy to be a citizen of Pennsylvania where the Second Amendment is respected for the most part (although constant vigilance is still required, especially with anti-2A Governor Wolf installed). We settled in Wayne and are very happy here. It took longer than I thought it would to make the escape, but I am thrilled we did it. Let me know if I can offer any insight or assistance.

Thanks, will be picking up the property hunt as soon as it thaws out.
Re: Prospective Pennsylvanian
My wife and I recently escaped NJ and moved to Wayne County. NJ's anti-2A laws (which only promise to get worse after Christie leaves office) were a significant factor in the decision. We left the rat race behind and have zero regrets. It took longer than we thought it would take to accomplish, but are very pleased with the decision. Be prepared to be patient. We are still wrapping up business in NJ and unfortunately have to return there more often than we would prefer. We both do not appreciate having to go back there as defenseless "shovel-ready" victims. That is just the way NJ politicians love it. But we have little choice at the moment. Every trip back confirms our belief that we did the right thing. Soon enough though the connections with NJ will be remote and we cannot wait. Any self-reliant, freedom loving citizen should be exiting NJ and NY for PA as soon as possible.
The Damascus area is beautiful. Good luck with your search. Let me know if I can advise or assist in anyway. Members on this forum were very helpful to us when we were making our move.
