Any Data for BE-86/Berry’s 165 Flat Point

Starting to Re load 40 cal, none of the manuals I own have data for this specific combination. Guns: Glock 27, Shield 40.

What powder are you using?

Hodgdon powder has load data for Berry's 165gn:

Using Alliant BE-86, I’ll check out Hodgdon powder. Reloading supplies are scares in my area finding it would be the problem. Thanks

We recommend a light crimp on the bullet, just enough to put pressure against the bullet without denting or deforming the plating. If you were to pull the bullet out of a case with the proper crimp you would find no more than a scratch on the surface of the plating. If you are denting or deforming the bullet, your accuracy will suffer and the bullet may start to tumble before it hits the target.

This should get you started. Don't see specific data for plated bullets but this should at least let you get an idea.

Reloading for two or more firearms will be a compromise. No two firearms shoot exactly the same way. You'll have to move around a bit through the charge weights to find something that is "best" for both firearms.

Light loads can sometimes lead to pressure excursions. see http://www.reloadammo.com/liteload.htm Light loads can also lead to double charging. Be careful out there.
