ACSO calls it a 'gun permit' and first CC
So I went down to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office today to pick up my new LTCF and I noticed a sign near the entrance that I thought everyone might get a kick out of. The ACSO calls it a "gun permit".
On another note, my first time CC went off without a hitch. I went for a walk through Lowe's, Best Buy, and Walmart and nothing out of the ordinary happened... It only took about 2 hours for me to stop being so paranoid about the Bersa .380 inside my waistband. All in all, it was a good day.

I also forgot to mention that it only took me 4 days to get the yellow approval card. I turned in the application on Tuesday and had the yellow card on Saturday. I've seen so many horror stories about it taking the full 45 days that I was surprised by the turnaround time.

Glad to hear you got your LTCF.
Also, of course your first CC went off without a hitch, your pistol was concealed! lol

Yeah, experienced carriers look at a comment like "my first CC went off without a hitch" and wonder what the big deal is. For first-timers it's a big deal.

If the shurff says it's so, it's so. Especially in this here town, pilgrim.
