Re: Training Courses in NEPA
I don't have anything planned up that way, unfortunately. I would like to get back up to Pa soon though. I taught in Pittsburgh in April and had a blast.
Just make sure that if you find a course for the Florida permit, that it includes live fire as is their requirement. There's a number of folks running around offering training for Florida and the course does not have live fire.
Also, have you considered getting a Utah permit instead of, or in addition to Fl and Az?
Re: Training Courses in NEPA
That's on the list as well. I'm going to try to get as many as possible.
Re: Training Courses in NEPA
Good to hear.
We're always scouting locations for classes so if you'd like a Utah class in your area and perhaps know a few folks who'd be interested, let me know.
If you want to take a weekend trip, I have a Utah class scheduled in Northern Va. in June.

Re: Training Courses in NEPA
i'd like to get a few my self but what about the reciprocity agreements?
What's it cost for these courses because depending on how long they are i'd be willing to do a few in one day.
Re: Training Courses in NEPA
Pretty sure I talked to you about classes up here Pro.
I know Tootie and I want our Utah ASAP so we can carry when visiting Ohio
Re: Training Courses in NEPA
IIRC Florida accepts any training course, unlike the boring as shit Utah course which has to be there material.
My suggestion, FWIW, is take a QUALITY training course from a reputable instructor and get some good training in, and as a side bonus apply for that FL permit. Im not sure about out East, but here in Pittsburgh we have a TigerSwan 2-day pistol in August, Randy Cain in September as well as a Jason Falla pistol/carbine . All GREAT choices, and if someone takes my advice, youd be glad you did.
Looks like somewhere out east though you have a VSM.

I dont know that guy specifiacally, but I think that hits your FL requirement. We have Stony Smith here at PMSC this weekend for a VSM pistol, but thats been all sold out.

Our Utah course is 6 hours and the cost is $85.
