Ah, you did say those were the 22 cones.
You will always have as much or more into tooling and parts than you do in machines, be it a Bridgeport or one of the minis. And with either one, they are worth their weight for any project, no matter what you're working on.
Those are the included radial cones from Diversified Machines 22lr kit.
Oh definitely. I did machining for roughly 5 years so I had some decent background. So far I've done good for what I have invested. Been using YG brand Cobalt stub drills and just generic carbide end mills. Haven't made my way onto other projects just yet though
Just curious what other kinds of things you guys do with your mills. I think I'll have a better time justifying buying the mini-mill if I can think of some other projects where it might come in handy.
Gun stuff, car stuff, bike stuff, day to day build new stuff to replace broken parts instead of buying or maybe you cant buy them anymore. Make tools or fixtures or hold down clamps to make other things.
Same thought process with the lathe, its not just for gun work. Add a welder and a smart phone into your arsenal and you can damn near send a monkey to space.
Make chips just make chips. Learn what/how to do it...and how not to do it lol

RSC baffles w/ Poor Mans DHC clipping ??? Who is RSC ?? Web Link ???
Finally got my 300 Win Mag kit in on Saturday and finished it up yesterday. Added links to videos in the main post. Overall super happy with the results and its definitely hearing safe. Gas to the face with the AR isn't terrible but I also have no comparison with commercial cans on a gas gun.
Also managed to grab some video of the 22LR can on the wifes 10/22.
