Monroeville Convention Center
Just saw an article about the Monroeville Convention Center set to become a Hobby Lobby store later this year. Wondering what this means for the gunshows held there? This show has moved a few times over the years, I don't know where they could relocate to.
Re: Monroeville Convention Center
Effective 1 Jun 2024 starts a 12-yr lease with Hobby Lobby at the property.

No loss, the gun show there is the worst of them all.

I went this weekend. It was something to do. Not the worst I have been to.

Gotta be enough vacant space in a mall in the region. Pick a mall. Any mall.

That show gets worse every time, never waste my time going to it again.

That building is awfully big to be a Hobby Lobby.

Are you freaking kidding me?
Are you married?
Has your wife ever dragged you through a Hobby Lobby?
The whole store?
It's FREAKING HUGE.
Pretty sure it was payback for any time I made her tag along through Harbor Freight. LOL
Re: Monroeville Convention Center
We got bad news this weekend. The gal that runs this show was staying over in the area a few days to scout out for some suitable places. Good luck to her.
The current convention center is going to be missed; and by more than just the gun show. The are many other events usually held the that will have to find a new venue.
Oh, and I was informed that the building will be more of a Hobby Lobby corporate center than a retail store. Sort of what CVS did with the old Expo Mart facility just behind the current convention center.
