I want to thank you all for your help and suggestions. I am hoping Savage will step up and correct defects that I cannot discover & fix
How'd the rifle shot in 2009?
It has always had a problem, just didn't realize it till the warranty expired
POI has always been a problem moving, and it was bore sighted each time I changed the scope. I honestly thought the problem was either me or the scope but as it turns out that is not the problem
Update : I heard back from Savage and they said to send it in and if it's a manufacture's defect they will fix it at no charge even though it's 8 years old.
I talked to someone at Savage today, they said they replaced the barrel and extractor and are in the process of testing for function and accuracy, if everything checks out I should have it back sometime next week
Glad they stood behind it. Hope she's a tack-driver now! :)
As close to a happy ending as you can get until you shoot some tight groups off the bench! Sweet.
