U. S. Military Veterans Can Legally Carry A Concealed Pistol In 27 States
Re: U. S. Military Veterans Can Legally Carry A Concealed Pistol In 27 States
Just old propaganda for a Florida permit.
Our PA LTCF will get you 26 states without any former enlistment.

Might be propaganda, but till, it's a cool thing. I'll use it when I get to it next year.

What? Can somebody please explain what this is?
Re: U. S. Military Veterans Can Legally Carry A Concealed Pistol In 27 States
Florida non-resident permit requires a training course of some kind. Submittal of your DD214 counts for that.
Basically, instead of being a veteran you could instead just take a CCW course and fill out the paperwork.

I may look into this , Since my most recent set of orders state I am to be placed onto the retirement list 10 AUG. Ill just wait for that DD-214

I have a DD-214. Where do I go for my Florida non-resident LCTF?

They have a website for you to request a packet of materials
http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/FOR...equest790.html
Then wait for the paperwork to come to you, fill it out, send it back with everything needed, then wait for the slow turning licensing process. Have fun.

Well I hope you like waiting…
Called and they sent me a packet (all the forms and info) Late December last year.
Sent in all required info ( DD214, Passport photo, finger print card, and the paperwork) the third week of January. A little side note went to the state police barracks here in Erie and the trooper that fingerprinted me told me that he never heard of a Florida out of state license and asked why I thought I needed one
Someone signed for it on February 4th
Cashed my check March 31st
Received it in the mail the 2nd week of June
Good luck
