The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Great shop. Its run by 2 brothers, Chris and Ryan. Both are great guys. Good attitude and friendly. They also have a James Yeager look alike, Duane (spelling? sorry Duane), he's a good guy too. I'd hang out with him, I wouldn't hang out with James Yeager.
They have competitive prices and they're selection is steadily growing and is pretty impressive for such a new shop.
Its worth the extra drive if you aren't close to Warminster.
Don't hesitate to shop here. Its my favorite shop by far and I've been just about everywhere in Bucks County.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Does this shop have a commercial address? If so, would it be possible to post it?
Always good to visit new shops and check-out their "stuff".
You just never know what you need for a birthday present to yourself....

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
sure thing.
The Bunker Gun Shop
549 York Rd, Warminster, PA 18974
(215) 675-3796
10am-7pm, Mon-Sat, closed Sunday
its in a small shopping plaza, right next to Verizon, on York Road, a couple hundred feet south of Street Road.
I'll reiterate, I've never seen/heard even the slightest hint of the all-too-common "I'm better than you cause I work in a gun shop" attitude.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Just stopped in this week to do a little horse trading and the guys are super fair with their pricing when buying used guns and do not look down upon any customer. I am glad to have this shop and tanners within spitting distance of me. I think the bunker is going to see continued success due to their high level of passion for the business.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I stopped in there to do a transfer and was impressed with their selection and good prices.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
My experience wasn't so great. My initial conversation with the owner went well; then on a follow up call he started to back peddle on the trade deal with "conditions". OK I get it - he hasn't seen the gun in person yet. However I brought him in a pristine trade that looked like it was brand new out of the box. At one point, I thought he was going to literally put it under a microscope to find something and then points out some wear mark that neither I nor my wife can see and we both have 20/20 vision. At this point, he proceeds to knock down the price on my trade and that's when I decided to walk as a matter of principle and felt insulted. Too bad too because I was hoping BGS would be my one stop shop to deal with. I've been selling and trading for many years with Philly area FFLs as well as over GB and IMHO BGS is no different from any other FFL. I will eventually sell or trade my firearm, but it will just take a little longer than I planned.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Sorry we could not come to an agreement and I normally do not like to give quotes without seeing the firearm in person. We have built up a decent reputation on giving fair value for trades and I hope you give us another shot in the future.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I stopped in to pick up a couple of lowers I had shipped from an online purchase for transfers. I haven’t been in there since shortly after they opened, WOW, what a difference. Much better selection and friendly, courteous staff.
The lowers I had shipped where Colts, and they’re Colt guys as well, so they gotta be good guys. ;)

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
What are the fees for transfers?

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I'm another fan, recently bought a Glock from them. The guys are super friendly and know what they're talking about. Tough location though, if you're not from the area it's not the easiest place to find.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Just had another great transaction with the guys at the Bunker Gun Shop. Excellent shop anyone in the area should check out.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I'll echo the positive comments made above. Stopped in a couple of Saturdays ago on my way home from my quarterly visit to Tanner's. Had heard good things from friends who'd purchased from the Bunker before. I was impressed by the selection and the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. They carried guns that not a lot of other places do. Large selection of CZ pistols (Shadow 2 anyone?). I fondled my first Kel Tec RDB in the wild. Played with the elusive Hudson H9. Good prices, too.
Will definitely be stopping back in the future.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Same as above went to Tanners for a Sig P229 Elite, Didn't see one so I stopped at The Bunker. Picked up one for $750 and some Tru Glo sights for my CZ. Nice easy deal, definitely going back
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Yeah tanners and bunker within 5 mins of me! I am
Spoiled the guys at the bunker are great guys,
Knowledgeable and fair with pricing.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I'll echo the positive comments. These guys, and the wife, are all awesome. I'm going back in soon with a few trades to get something more fancy

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Not impressed.
Stopped in last week with my son to buy a rifle. Stood there by the counter while the two sales people kept BS'ing with some local cops about a cheap AR with some issues or something to that effect. Stayed for about 10 minutes and they never bothered to ask if we needed help, we were the only other people in there at the time. Small shop with not a lot of counter room so kinda hard not to notice us.
Lost a sale. Went up the road to Tanners and bought a nice AR there instead.
Won't go back. Don't waste your time.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
had stopped in once or twice... they seemed decent, saw a shied in the display case, and, they we easier to deal with than fat boy, so... figured, what the hell... I could add a shield to the stable....was about ballpark of 50 bucks less than new at tanners (real reason...Kam Wah was cooking my food order, and it takes a little bit....truly worth the wait).
50 bucks less....what does an extra mag cost? so, I would have both that it comes with? oh....about 50 bucks.....
no box, one mag, and had what they gave for a trade in written on the back of the tag. they dry fucked the guy that traded that in. then tried to dry fuck the guy that was going to buy it.
yeah....won't be back.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I've only done transfers there, and had good experiences. They have a tough road, with Tanner's right up the street.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Sorry you experienced this type of service. I believe we were helping a local police department upgrade their weapons and they had our full attention. This is not a usual event as you can tell by any of our reviews. I hope you give us another chance

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
We don’t put what we bought firearms for on the back of tags... just so there is no misconception.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
The "officer" I saw was wearing a Drexel Univesity police shirt, hardly local. Anyway, regardless of where they were from, it really didn't need to take both of you to service them. If you wanted to gave them your full attention, that's your call. Tanners had no problem waiting on me and I gave them my business.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
They treated me like family. Dropped a bit of cash there. They facilitated every aspect of sbs and suppressor in one afternoon. I went in to see their new shipment of 365s all were spoken for. One of the guys offered to let me buy the one reserved for him, bought an naa ranger2 along with the 365. Two hard to find guns in one day. These people didn't know me from Adam yet they treated me like family. I can't say enough good things about them. I'm not a fan of posting purchases but I can't just leave negative posts sit there knowing how well they treated me.

So your telling me you stood there for 10 mins didnt say anything like "excuse me I see your busy but could you hand me that X over there so I can take a look" but just thought it was only right that they had to come to you? Maybe the sales associates just didnt know how important you are ......

so, the "$100" written in pencil on the back of the tag, next to the date the gun was purchased was for what reason?

Guess you are right, as a potential customer I should have handled the situation better. I know better for next time - thanks!

No, the merchant should have addressed Seabee when he entered the store.
“Hi, is there anything I can help you with” or “hi, I’ll be right with you”, versus ignoring him and bullshitting with the Officers.
I would have left after 5 minutes.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
Again, sorry that the service wasn’t up to your expectations. It’s great that you are loyal to a gun shop but I ask that you don’t judge us off of one experience.

Not trying to go back and forth with you but no that is not what we paid for it. We do not put what we pay for a gun on the back of tags.

Being ignored is a pet peeve of mine as a customer...and as a pilot as well. If you have to put me on hold take ten seconds and do it, particularly if I'm standing at the counter and not moseying around the store looking at the shelf merchandise. You may feel differently, I understand that not all people are the same.

Unfortunately for businesses one bad experience is all it takes, particularly if it's a first experience. I can't tell you how many restaurants I've been referred to only to suffer a disappointment. Sure, maybe it was an off meal from an otherwise great establishment but it's the only one I'll get and I'll probably talk to other people about it.

Dont get me wrong I agree with you the merchant clearly should do that and for the record I've been in there like 5 times and they always quickly addressed me, my point is that I know I have made mistakes at my job .... everyone has, and me personally I've been in a silimar situation at other shops and because I know nobody's perfect I politely requested assistance as opposed to just walking out, never coming back and posting online about it

Hey man I kinda came off like an asshole there I shouldn't have replied to your post that way
I should of just said that everyone makes mistakes I've screwed up at my job and I'll bet you have too witch is why after acouple minutes in the same situation I would of asked for assistance and considered returning
If you can find the time I suggest stopping back in there at least one more time all my experiences were great and if you scroll back through this thread you will see that most people seem to enjoy the shop

Fair enough.
My problem is the older I get the less patience I have. I’ve left doctors offices after being kept waiting for 30 minutes. I always inform if I leave an establishment though.

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I have been to the Bunker dozens of times and have always had a great experience, whether I was buying something or just looking around. I would suggest giving them another shop if you are in the area, my guess is you will have a better experience.
-
Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I traded a gun here last week and think this is a great shop. I highly recommend them. By the way, they post their recently traded guns on their facebook page and it looks like they mark them up 25%. This seems extremely reasonable to me. I didn't see any prices marked on the back of price tags.
-

Re: The Bunker Gun Shop - Warminster
I stop in just about every time I'm in the area just to check used and new stock, usually when en route to Tanner's if I'm being honest. The guys are super helpful when they have time to talk, and the prices are on par for the gun stores in the area that I've seen. Seriously contemplating picking up a suppressor here, quite the selection of cans and other accessories. I recommend stopping by if your around the area.
