That's a heck of a good price for name-brand AND a mount.
If it has a momentary position on the tail cap this will be a top contender.
(I HATE that you need to become a detective to find out basic info like this - "momentary switch" is something that should be clearly stated in the specs)
Funny - the light I have here at the house is about the same size - all I'd need is a mount.
That's teh one with the broken tail cap switch - a momentary switch. Ugh.

I think after needing to mount it on a rail to attach to an MLOK slot, it may stick out too far to retain it's ideal design for the angled button access.
Maybe.
I know the current ones are better - and that 400 lumen is shorter than the brighter version.
Re: SMALL Weapon Lights for AR15 Pistols / SBRs
Higher lumens is not always better. I took a low light shooting class and found that the sweet spot was about 150-200 lumens for a weapon light. This was due to splashback from barricades. My personal favorite hand carried weaponlight is a StreamLight night fighter, which has an output of 160 lumens I think. Run some drills in low light with barricades and see what I mean...

Exactly - and I've never done any night shooting, but I've recently gotten some really high output "China lights" for general purpose/finding dog poos in the dark, and they are obnoxiously bright.
High output for a RIFLE or something intended for long distances OUTDOORS is fine.
Indoors though, it becomes more of a hindrance with the only real benefit being that you can totally blind a bad guy - while partially blinding yourself.

Also thought I'd mention (too late for you, and may not have been any better) that I read that they were bought by S&W and there's a S&W version that costs less - BUT doesn't include the same mounting options, so that factors into it.
$51 direct from S&W - I haven't priced it elsewhere
Check it out. https://store.smith-wesson.com/delta-force-rm-10
(and I'll assume BOTH brands have momentary tail cap switches based on a graphic found on S&W site)
For MY purposes, the only drawback on THIS light is that it only has one brightness setting - "ON".
But for the price, it's hard to beat.

Re: SMALL Weapon Lights for AR15 Pistols / SBRs
I'm really digging the idea of something like the Olight PL Mini's.
Gen 1s have 400 lumens and can be had for around 80 bucks.

I'm trying to figure out how these translate to rifle use since the switch is designed for a handgun.
Off to research to see if this is a viable option...

Re: SMALL Weapon Lights for AR15 Pistols / SBRs
As I said in my post from yesterday it's a great lite but the toggles won't be practical a rifle with a side or 45 degree mount.

I have the TLR-3 too. Compact and just the right amount of light.
$78 at Amazon.
