Damn. That's a lot of cranks on the reloading handle.

Both are remage setups, so no gun smith required. Basically made a savage out of a 700
Just my no frills Savage 10FCP in .308, shooting FGMM 168s. First group was cold bore, got lazy on the last one but the others were pretty good. I plan to hand load for this rifle at some point but will I be able to improve on this?

will I be able to improve on this?
Absolutely. I have a 10FCP-K that I hand load for. Here are some of the results (all 100 yards, Leupold scope set at 18x):
5-shot group, 42.0gr 8208XBR, 168 gr SMK, .726" x .491" no other notes
5-shot group, 68 degrees, 42.8gr IMR 4064, 168gr SMK, COL 2.815", .442" X .092"
5-shot group, 40.4gr IMR 4064, 175gr SMK near lands, .560" x .365"
Requisite disclaimer: I am not suggesting any loads, I am simply reporting what I have done with my rifle and my methods of reloading.
When you get into reloading and start experimenting with Cartridge Over-all Lengths (COL or COAL) you will find that Sierra Match King bullets (for example) vary in length quite a bit. Get the devices for measuring using the bullet's ogive. That will usually be +/- .001" variation or less.
The Savage 10s are capable of surprisingly close repeatable impact point.
