Does anyone know if they search people/bags for weapons? I'm thinking about going to see a hockey game but I probably wont unless I can bring my carry.

Straight from the website (who woulda thought to look there!?)
Firearms/Weapons
All individuals, including off-duty law enforcement officers, are prohibited from bringing firearms or concealed weapons into PPL Center.
Its a safe bet they check or have detectors
Seems kinda dumb that they would prohibit off duty LEOs from carrying in there. I'd feel safer if at least LEOs were allowed to carry. Doesn't matter, I won't be going anytime soon.
Why?
Just because someone wears a costume and badge to work, does not mean they should get special treatment, extra rights and/or privileges because of their chosen occupation.
If you can point out the clause in the Pennsylvania or U.S. Constitution that allow for this that would be helpful, since I have yet to find it.
Law enforcement officers are just men and woman, like you and I, and should not be treated any differently than you or I.
Went to the first concert they had there...concealed carried with no problems. Did not see any detectors nor did I get searched.
I know people who went to the home opener, they said they were wanded. I really wanted to go to a game but I guess I won't be now.
Seems non-sporting events do not have the same level of scruintiny.
Was there with the little ones for Disney On Ice and they just checked bags. No pat downs, wands or metal detectors.
