Re: Belly Band Holster for Gym Carry?
Might want to check out “pistolwear” neoprene . Warm but very comfortable and various sizes and configurations to fit different guns (cabelas sells them)
Re: Belly Band Holster for Gym Carry?
I tried a Pistol Wear belly band holster for running, but I didn't like it. It was a good holster, but I decided nothing would be comfortable enough for running.
This might be an unpopular view here, but who ever said a person has to be armed for every minute of every day? If someone seriously can't take calculated risks that are EXTREMELY low, like going unarmed during a gym workout, then they may have a problem.

This is what I'm looking at. Nearly 2700 reviews, nearly a 5 star average.

I have that same belly band holster, and wear it whenever I'm in sweats or otherwise not wearing a belt. I give it high marks.
Re: Belly Band Holster for Gym Carry?
I use one frequently, great for deep concealing under a tucked shirt. I run with it sometimes too, no issues. Play sports with the kids wearing it, never had any problems there either.
With that said, I have a home gym and don't wear it while lifting weights, but if you needed to, it would work...might be uncomfortable when benching or doing crunches though!

Blasphemy!!
(I agree.)
Treadmill solved my belly band issue.
(Also kept me from bumping into 6am muggers and stepping in dog shit.)

I really like my Pistol Wear for running/hiking/biking. Just curious where you wore it and what gun? I carried a Beretta Nano and now a Glock 43 in mine and wore the strap right at my short's waist band with the pouch in the back.

Everyone makes choices, but I remember this form August 2009

I've also taken a few theft reports from gym lockers in the past... some of the lockers were locked...
The best solution for me, working out at home.
Again, its all about choices.

Yes, and how many hundreds of millions of workouts have been done in this country since then with no issues? When the odds are 1 in 100 million, to me, statistically, that's zero.
Re: Belly Band Holster for Gym Carry?
It happens. It can happen anywhere. I'm not a fan of the "I'll be OK here" approach. You should be prepared everywhere.
You'd think somewhere like a Church would be the safest place you can go...happens there too, way too often.

The difference between a church and a gym is that I can comfortably carry in church. I don't think I could comfortably carry during a gym workout, especially since I sweat like a pig. So it's a simple cost-benefit analysis - a 1 in 100 million risk of something happening during the workout, vs. being uncomfortable and having a holster that's a sweaty mess.
