PA, I reload for everything I shoot. All hunting loads are handloaded. Haven't bought factory ammo in years....except for rimfire and shotgun of course.

Good luck guys.
I believe I will be drifting in this direction as well. Kind of tired of rifle season. Same old same old. I hung up my compound for a crossbow a few years ago, and have been considering switching to a handgun for most of long gun season for a bit more challenge. 90% of my deer are taken at < 75 yards anyway. Just need that little push.
I'll be taking my Ruger Redhawk in .44 although I have been using it as a weak side gun when I post sitting.
I only have one deer with it. I don't remember the charge but have used Speer semi jacked magnums for 20 years.
I have taken my S&W model 66 with factory loads.
I prefer the Ruger.
I will be out with a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44.
I have been hunting with handguns since the early '80s. This S & W Performance Center 41 Mag with match grade slab barrel and 2 X scope with see through rings is my go to PA white tail getter.

I have hunted Elk with a revolver, in the beginning I used a 454 made by Freedom Arms but started using the Smith 500 Mag when they first came out, with my heavy hand loading of a 500 plus grain hard cast bullet it's a proven Elk taker.

Opening day will have my and my Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter (44mag) topped with an UltraDot Match Dot in my favorite spot waiting for an unlucky buck to walk by.
I am pushing a 300gr XTP over a healthy dose of 2400
What’s with the slippers dude? Nice going PAwhitetailbowhunter. Love the DW six shooter. Gotta put this in the harvest thread.
Sorry, just saw this reply..
I like it a lot. I have the Silhouette model with 10.5" barrel. The Alexandria Virginia made Virginian Dragoons are beefier than Ruger Blackhawks and can handle full/spec .44mag loads*.
The drawback is that they aren't made anymore, not since the mid 1980's, and replacement parts are thinning out. Another drawback is the alignment pin in the gripframe.. ...where it is positioned causes wooden or weaker grips to break.
*Original spec for 44mag is 240gr @ 1350 or 1450 FPS(depending on source) measured from 6" barrel.
